Congratulations to Polly Leech, winner of the SMF Senior and Supreme Championships on Saturday evening. Polly, who has a scholarship to commence a post-graduate vocal course at the Royal College of Music in September, sang her way to victory with an aria from ‘The Bear’ by William Walton. The adjudicator congratulated her on her professional performance. Other excellent items in the Finale included Junior Champion Harry Apps, singing ‘Tit Willow’ from the Mikado, Natalie Chequer, Steph Walsh and Shaun Holley in duets and trios, and Abi Daniels and Isobel Cassidy with the Shows duet, Matchmaker.
